Transportation: CDG to Rue Cler

We are staying at the Muguet and would like opinions on whether to take the train or Air France bus. Which would be more convenient for weary arriving passengers?
Thanks

I just checked on my options for the same thing. I think that taking the Roissy bus to Opera and then either walking around the building and taking a cab the rest of the way or else taking the metro line 8 in direction Balard and getting off at Ecole Militaire or at La Tour Maubourg is probably the least stressful option. If you check Rick's Paris 2011 book, he tells you how to find the taxi stand behind Opera. I've read somewhere that walking to the RER train at CDG is a long haul.
Here's the website for a good metro map. Your hotel is halfway between both stations.

I'd bet there's less walking required at the airport than there is from the midpoint between those to metro stations.

We asked our Rue Cler hotel in advance to assist us in booking a reliable shuttle to their hotel. It was our first venture to Europe, and the shuttle was a welcome relief after a long flight.

Walking to the RER train at CGD is not a particularly "long haul," but if you are going to be bone tired and have the cash and the option, I would vote for a cab. You'll spend around sixty bucks, but sometimes, the expense is worth it. We always get into town from CDG on the Metro, and take a cab out to CDG if we have an early flight. A one way splurge can make the trip (in which ever direction) just that much more bearable.
