Need help with suggestions on best transportation for family of 2 adults 2 teenagers to Hotel Campanille Paris XI in the 11th Arrondisement. Any shuttle services or taxi service any one would recommend. Also, for Paris night tour or city day tour any suggestions.
Taxi fares in Paris are regulated by the Prefect of Police. Doesn't matter which one you get. Just get in line at the taxi rank outside your terminal at CDG. They'll put you in a taxi that'll accommodate your family.
Viv, I have stayed at that hotel and the absolute best and cheapest way to get to it is on Bus No. 351 which will take you to Place de la Nation (the end of the route) from where it is a short walk to the Campanile. (Have a map with you.) The cost is 3 bus/metro tickets (approx. $5.00) each and you can buy the tickets from the driver. Be sure to have some euros with you. Go out Door 9, Terminal 2D. You will see the sign for the bus. Wait directly at the sign or the driver will go flying by. The buses are frequent and the journey is about 50 minutes. By the way, on Saturday mornings there is one of best street markets in Paris a short walk from your hotel. There is a branch of the Printemps department store across the Cours de Vincennes, too. It is a lively neighbourhood with lots of cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, wine shops, pharmacies. If you like couscous send me a PM and I'll direct you to a terrific couscous place near your hotel.
Thank You for you advice.
