transportation

I will be traveling with my wife and son to Spain. I would like to travel between Santiago de Compostela(Spain) and Porto(Portugal)and then to Lisbon. Best way to accomplish this(Bus, car rental, plane, train)?.
Thanks.

Car would be nice, but if your ultimate destination is Lisbon, you will incur a heavy drop-off fee for renting your car in one country and leaving it in another.
The best alternative is the bus. At this time, there is one/day, leaving Santiago at 1030 am and arriving in Porto at 130 pm, and a cost of 29 Euro. Check the latest a couple of days before you leave for the most up to date schedule. Go to www.movelia.es and use "Santiago Compostela" and "Oporto."
From Porto to Lisbon, train is probably the best.

I agree with Norm. Public transport would also be less stressful than driving. Have fun.
