We are flying in to Zurich and heading for Grindelwald. What is the best mode of transport and how much from Zurich to Grindelwald? Also how do we get around grindelwald to ski? Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Not a train person, but there's one right to the heart of Grindelwald from Interlaken. Others can help with that. Lifts are within walking distance (small village, actually, everything's within walking distance).

The journey usually involves two changes and will take 3 hours. Zurich airport to Bern, Bern to Interlaken, Interlaken to Grindlewald. Grindlewald is walkable, some hotels provide transport from from the station to your lodging so you don't have to lug your gear too far.
