I am pondering two ways of getting to Cinqueterre from the Liechtenstein area. Our friends that live there say we should take a bus that goes over the San Bernadino Pass to Bellinzona. From there, take the train to Milan and then transfer to Cinqueterre. It takes about 8 plus hours to do this but they say the scenery is worth it. We were going to fly from Zurich to Milan and then take a 3 hour train to Cinqueterre. Any opinions out there?
Thanks,
Suzanne
You pretty much have the options. You can take the train from Vaduz, AU and it will take about 6.0hrs to get to Milan. It is indeed a 3hr journey from Milan to the CT. Note that according to www.whichbudget.com, there are no budget airline flights from Zurich to Milan. You can fly the full fare airlines.
