I know this has been asked before but I can't find the answer: can anyone recommend a relatively inexpensive car service from CDG into Paris? There's 4 of us so a taxi is out and since we're flying in I can't give them an exact time for pick-up (which seems really unrealistic anyway). Thank you.

Take the Roissy Bus to Opera and then taxi or Metro or city bus or walk, as we did, to where you want to go. Ask landlord how to get to them from Opera. See great discussion at: http://www.slowtrav.com/france/paris/airport_transportation.htm
Remember, you are there to see Paris. By bus, it is a great tour.

Even with four of you plus luggage, a taxi is not out of the question. There are minivan taxis in the taxi ranks at CDG. A taxi will be cheaper than a car service, but you'll have to wait in line to get one.

I don't mind waiting in line for a taxi but I was under the impression I couldn't get one with 4 people. We'll be arriving Saturday morning. I imagine that's only a busy time for international flights.

We've traveled as a groups of 5 and 6 and have seldom had to wait more than 15 minutes for a taxi with enough capacity to handle us all.
With 4 people you should not have any issues.
...now... if you've got 7 or more in your group it gets more complicated...

I asked this question a few months ago and am going to book Yellow Van. Received a few suggestions for this service also airport-shuttle.com. They are around 75E for 4. Our group of 4 are in their late 60's and mid 70's so a Van rather than train is a priority.

We are a family of five and we cabbed in from CDG because we were too tired - and I was too stressed out - to spend too much time looking for a bus or a train. We were in France for 11 days and on one of our cab trips I found a driver with a nice, CLEAN, van. He is bilingual. So I asked if he had a car and he did! So we used him the rest of our trip - final trip back to CDG to get home to the USA. Now, we had 7 pieces of luggage, some smaller, but still alot so we needed a van. It was $90 US. I do a lot of research on trips and keep the cards and names of people and restaurants where I feel the service warranted the price. [email protected]
