Mimi,
I can't offer any comments on ParisShuttle, but if you don't have a lot of baggage you could also consider the RER to Gare du Nord (and then transfer to the Metro).
Happy travels!
I suggest using the Paris Metro. Everything else might get you in a big traffic jam.
It goes everywhere. It has a station inside DeGaulle Airport. Take Train B to down town. Switch to where ever you need to go. Pack lite and you'll be fine.
If you have a horel room. Ask them to email you directions.

I've used ParisShuttle both ways. Going to the airport during rush hour took exactly one hour and moved pretty well. I did have a problem finding the exit where the shuttle was to pick me up upon arrival at CDG; it was a small side door that nobody could direct me to but I finally located it. They speak good English on the phone, so do the drivers, and they use Volkswagen minivans, very comfortable. Going to the airport during rush hour I sat next to the driver and had a hair raising view of flocks of motorcycles and motor scooters passing cars and trucks driving on the lane dividers.
I have used both the Roissy Bus and the shuttle companies - ParisShuttle, YellowShuttle and GoldenShuttle. All the shuttles are about the same - they can carry about 8 passengers and luggage for about 25-30E/person one way.
The Roissy bus goes from CDG into Paris and stops near Opera Garnier. You can walk from there if your hotel is nearby or you can go to the taxi stand to take a taxi directly to your hotel.
Air France also operates a shuttle into Paris - here is the information that I found about the Air France Bus:
Buses of Les Cars Air France connect Terminals 1 and 2 with destinations on the Right and Left Bank:
Line 2 goes to the Place Charles de Gaulle (Arc de Triomphe) and Porte Maillot (in the La Defense skyscraper district). Buses normally run every 15 minutes from 5:45 a.m. to 11 p.m. The fare is €15 one-way or €24 roundtrip, with children 2-11 paying €7,50 each way. Trip time: 35-60 minutes, depending on traffic.
Line 4 serves the Gare de Lyon and the Gare Montparnasse. Coaches normally depart every 30 minutes from 6:30 or 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and the fare is €16 one-way or €27 roundtrip (€8 each way for children). Trip time: 45-60 minutes, depending on traffic.
I haven't used the RER/Metro system but have read that it is cheaper and faster, especially during rush hour.
We used ParisShuttle and were very happy to have a reservations the day of our return flight. There was a one-day transportation strike in Paris and we would never have been able to get a taxi!
