trains through france

hi
this is the first of several questions i'll be posting. we're planning a 5 week trip through france and benelux. we are going to purchase a 10 saver pass. my first question is this. as part of the trip, we plan to go from nice to chamonix. is it feasible to do this in a day? if so, any suggestions? we're both accustomed to tour by train. we did 6 weeks in italy.

thanks. we actually did some addition. the pass actually looks a bit cheaper. this was not the case in italy; point to point worked best. however, it looks that we will save maybe $150 total.

yes, we have several longer trips: mont st michel to bloise;
sarlat to marseille; nice to chamonix,
chamonix to paris,paris to amsterdam.

the rest are shorter i.e. brussles to paris, bloise to sarlat etc, but it looked to us as if the pass (esp the 10 day benelux saver) did pay for itself.

sorry, thats what i meant, the benelux france saver. i will, however, take your advice and check out each trip on the tgv site. we aren't leaving for awhile
