I'm having the hardest time figuring out a doable itinerary. From Amsterdam to Rothenburg,Germany is set. We intitally planned on going to Innsbruck and then to Venice but are thinking of going to Varenna (Lake Como) Italy via Switzerland but are having a very difficult time determining how to get from Rothenburg to Varenna and if we will just be spending too much time on the train. Our trip is 3 weeks Aug 27 - Sep 18. We wanted to see the Swiss Alps but would entering Italy via Innsbruck be just as scenic? We also wanted to relax for a few days in Lake Como before heading to Venice, Florence, Cinque Terre, Nice and Paris. Any help will be much appreciated.
