Train Transfer Brussels to Bruges

Hi I'm arriving in Brussels via the Eurostart train from London. Does anyone know how the transfer to the Bruges train works? Will I need to get a transfer (on ES train, at a kiosk, etc) and could you estimate the time it might take to transfer trains (traveling light)? I am trying to estimate an arrival time for my B&B so I'm guessing at which connecting train I might be able to catch.
Thanks
Kat

Based on the Eurostar arrival times, you should have plenty of time (around 30 minutes) to make your connection. However, it would be a good idea to go to the door before the train stops so you can be among the first people to get off. IC trains from Brussels-Midi to Bruges depart at 5 minutes and 32 minutes past the hour. The trip takes just under an hour. All you need is your Eurostar ticket.

Well, I'm making the same transfer except I'll be arriving on the Thalys from Paris. Does this work also? What does the "IC" in IC trains mean. Thank you!

IC = Intercity (or a faster train that only stops at other IC stations)
