Train Toledo -> Madrid -> Barcelona

Have a 10 am AVE ticket from Madrid to Barcelona already booked. I will be coming into Madrid from Toledo that morning. I'm thinking a 9 am train from Toledo would be safe timewise, and should I book this ticket ahead?

If I remember right, that would leave you about 30 minutes to disembark, find the new platform, go through "security" and board the train to Barcelona. Most likely that is enough time, but you could be cutting it close especially if the train from Toledo is even a little late. Is there one at 8:30ish? Yes, book the Toledo/Madrid train at least a day in advance because that line fills up, especially at rush hour.

Thanks for the reply. Now that I think about it, I believe my train to Barcelona leaves at 10:30 rather than 10, so it sounds like I'll be OK. And I'll get tix a few days ahead when I first get to Madrid.
