Train Tix from Basel to Wengen with Half fare card

Hi, we got our train tickets from paris to Basel already. We also got out' Half Fare Card '. My question is should we buy our ticket on the train station or should we just buy it on the train that we're on. Is it more expensive to buy it on thetrain? Do they take credit card payment? Thanks
