We are traveling from Malaga to Barcelona in the fall and are considering the high-speed train. Does anyone know if these stations are equiped with elevators and/or escalators? While we like to travel independently as much as possible, we do have difficulty carrying luggage up and down stairs. Our European train travels in recent years have been mostly at modern or updated facilities, but we did have problems a few years ago in France. Hence, I wanted to research the facilities before we booked our trip. Thank you in advance for any input.
Malaga Maria Zambrano is on the same level as the street entrance. Barcelona Sants I have not been to in many years - http://www.adif.es/en_US/infraestructuras/estaciones/71801/informacion_000097.shtml - 'Services and Accessibility' I think covers it.
Malaga train station is easy, there were escalators down to the platform I needed. The bus station is very close too. I´ve not been to Barcelona yet, so look forward to hearing from you about Barcelona station. Rachel Andalucia Explorer

you are good on both. back from spain in october 2012 and 2010. malaga is amazing compared to its relative size as a city. i think the brits made it a monster, in good terms. Sants in barcelona is a world class station. Shopping, the VIP lounge, etc.. no issues for you.
