Which is the train station to get the AVE train from Barcelona to Madrid? Saying at Hotel Granvia located on Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes.

In attempting to make AVE train reservations online, several Barcelona stations appear in the list besides Barcelona Sants. They are Barcelona* (don't know what the asterisk means), Barcelona L Sagrera Meridiana, and Barcelona Estacio De Franca. Does anyone know which is the one to choose?

Marsha, I sent you a message on this. But the short answer for others reading this is the asterisk choice ( can't duplicate it on my iPad but that should be clear.)

Nearly every train winds up in Barcelona-Sants, the main station. It would be the safest and easiest to choose that.

AVE trains only stop at Barcelona-Sants. If you pick any of the other Barcelona stations they will sell you a ticket from there, but you will have to get a local train from there to Sants.
