Train stations and train connections

I am looking for info on the following:
1. Map of Lorch on the Rhine which shows location of KD ship port and how to get from there to the Lorch train station. How far is it? How long would I need to make connections with a little buffer for not knowing what I am doing?
2. Map of Bingen on the Rhine which shows location of KD ship port and how to get from there to the Bingen train station. How far is it? How long would I need to make connections with a little buffer for not knowing what I am doing?
3. Are the 2 to 5 minute train changes I am seeing in Mainz realistic? Is the station that small?
4. Going by train out of Rothenburg de tabor to Munich or Nurmberg there are 2 minute train changes in Steinach and other towns? Are these possible for the novice or will I probably be waiting another hour for the next train?

Thanks for any help. I am worried about tight schedules I am seeing. Italy was so much easier than Germany.

If you use Google Earth, or even Google maps, you can get a pretty good idea of how far away everything is. Mainz station is sort of a medium size station, with multiple tracks that you might need to access by going up and down flights of stairs or escalators, but they do have regular trains going through, so if you miss one, you should be able to get the next one, unless you have reservations. Some tracks are next to each other, so it does depend on where you are going.

You might need to check your spelling as this will cause some difficulties with finding out information on places you are going. Plus there is more than one Lorch, so make sure you know which one that you want when making train reservations. Rothenburg ob der Tauber may be what you are looking for. Also, use Nuremberg.

Thanks for info. It is late and I realize I was being very sloppy with my names. I am trying to make connections matching the K-D schedule and the train schedule. I am trying to find how long it takes to get across the towns from ship to train.
