Train Station Luggage Lockers

Are they theft-proof? I plan to use one in Malaga Spain for a day while sightseeing.

Of course, as theft-proof as any lock system. I am sure there are ways of breaking into them and, of course, there has to be a master key which a bad person can probably get a hold of but I have never heard of anyone having a big problem with theft. Of course, the usual caution is not to leave anything of high value anywhere.

Hi Jill,
There are so many different types of lockers, I don't know what Malaga has but I have used them all and never had a problem. Nothing is theft-proof, but if If you cant find an empty locker look for a left luggage office, most large stations have them. Your stuff will be safer in a locker than on your side while sightseeing.

Hi, Malaga Maria Zambrano station has luggage lockers, we have used them at least twice and would recomend. They are different sizes and the cost very reasonable .I recall that there were security guys in the area in which they are situated.
Hope this helps .

Thank you for your helpful replies. We will be disembarking a cruise ship and need a safe place to stash our luggage for ten hours before catching a late flight. We will not have time to sightsee in Malaga pre-cruise, so this will be the perfect opportunity to do so before leaving Spain.
