We would like to travel by train from Bastogne to Florence this June. As I understand it, there are not high-speed trains. What train route would you recommend? Thanks.

"As I understand it, there are not high-speed trains." Try, "there are no trains". Bastogne does not have rail access. The only way to reach it via public transportation is to take a bus from Libramont. I'm not sure what the fastest route to Florence would be, but it likely would involve back-tracking to Brussels, and from there, a high-speed train to either Paris or Frankfurt. I imagine this would involve a full day or longer of traveling.
