train ride from Paris to Lyon

Hi,
I'm traveling with two young kids and we're planning to take the train from Paris to Chalon sur Saone. My question is..are there any direct train from the Paris airport to Chalon sur Saone in Lyone as we're traveling with suitcase and it will be difficult to transfer around two kids with suitcase.

thank you,
mata

I see a TGV train to Chalon sur Saone with no changes. This is just an example schedule - try using the real dates you'll be traveling.

I just checked the timetables at www.bahn.de and found no direct trains to Chalon-sur-Saone from either CDG or Paris. There will be a minimum of one change. To see for yourself, enter Aeroport Paris-Charles de Gaulle TGV as your departure point and Chalon-sur-Saone as your arrival point.

Ohh, I lived in Chalon last year... let me know if you have any questions about the town :)

If memory serves, there's only one train a day from the airport to Chalon, usually you have to go from the airport to the Gare de Lyon to take the train to Chalon (and to the other places in that part of France). Some of the trains from there are direct to Chalon, but some of them require a stopover in Dijon.

What are you going to be doing in Chalon? Again, let me know if you need suggestions about restaurants or anything of the sort, I lived there for 8 months so I know tons about it :)

Bon voyage!

Tim - Of course I defer to your expertise and also discovered that the link I posted was useless because the DB site doesn't store searches. But the train I found was from Gare de Lyon, not CDG. The Chalone tourism office says there are three direct TGVs daily.
