We will be in Paris four days then on to Germany for eight days. Because we will be in Paris only there is no need to buy a two country pass. I am trying to decide best/least expensive way to get from Paris to Frankfurt am Main HBF.
Any suggestions?

Booked far enough in advance (up to 90 days allowed) at www.bahn.de, you can get Europa-Spezial Frankreich fares as low as €39. Click on the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner for English. After you get summary timetables for Paris-Frankfurt, look in the Savings fares column on the right-hand side of the page and click on "Check availability."

The 39 € special is correct, but when I was asking about them the other day, you almost have to buy them 3 months ahead of time as they are in limited supply. So, it does pay to order them on time. It is a good deal though and the train only takes 3 hours and 45 min. They also have a new train going to London from Frankfurt - 6 hours! Not bad. I love the trains, seeing the countryside, getting up, walking around, going for coffee, etc.
