train Normandy to Paris

We plan to stay one night in Normandy and then drop our car and train to Paris.Does anyone have an idea which city would be the best to do this from? Also can we purchase tickets at the station before we leave or are reservations needed?Thanks

Bayeaux would be easy. You can purchase train tickets at the station.

Caen would also work! Don't forget to visit William the Conqueror's castle ;) You can buy tickets at that station, too.
