I am taking a train to get to Barcelona from Paris and the bahn.de site has me switching trains from Irun to Hendaye(fr) at the border and only gives me 12 min to transfer. Are these basically the same station and can I make it in that amount of time Thank you
Are you looking at the 10:10 am departure from Paris? I cannot answer the question about Irun/Hendaye, but I will say that going through Irun is the long way to get from Paris to Barcelona. The shorter way (4 hours shorter) has a transfer at Figueres. The trains to Figueres depart at 7:20 and 15:20. Even that later one would get get you to Barcelona not much later than the train through Irun (22:45 instead of 21:58).
You're looking at the WRONG side of France!

If you insist on running down the west coast, Roger probably knows the answer about the two stations. But, when I was a kid, you had to hoof it across the border - - there was no way to make it from Irun to Hendaye in fifteen minutes.
I know its longer but with trains being booked gotta have alternatives when i go to the station and try to book. currently already in europe and trying to get to spain in a couple weeks. better to get there the long way they not get there at all
Why not just book it now?
