We are soon leaving for a holiday in the UK and while there plan to fly to Zurich to visit our daughter and son-in-law. We plan to take the train back to Paris, in the hopes of seeing something of the French Alps along the way. However, when researching the train journey I find there are two routes - one via Basel and one via Lausanne. Can anyone tell me which route is the most scenic, please. And do you get to see much of the mountains, or are there a lot of tunnels? Thanks Jan
