My wife and I will be leaving for Austria on June 11. After five nights stay in Vienna we will be heading by train to Salzburg. My question..Do you recommend purchasing our tickets online now OR wait until we get to Vienna?
I found some good deals on the OBB website. However, just want some opinions before I make a final decision. Thanks!

as long as you don't mind being locked in to a certain time, buying in advance is cheaper for almost all high speed trains (I assume you're talking about taking the OeBB RailJet from Vienna to Salzburg?) personally, I'd buy now.

Depends on whether you want to stick to a schedule or be flexible. I bought tickets (for 2) at the Salzburg station to Vienna a couple weeks ago and it was 80.80 euros for a mini-max ticket (railjet -didn't reserve seats).

Actually the Westbahn site was a bit more expensive (37 euro per person). So...I decided to go ahead and jump in the pool and ordered 2 tickets on the OeBB site for 56 euro. Thanks everybody for your suggestions and help!
