Train from Murren to Venice

Mark, typically, this is an 8-9-hour journey with 4-6 transportation changes via Lauterbrunnen/Interlaken Ost/Spiez/Brig/Dommodosola and Milano Centrale. You take the short train ride from Muerren to Grutshalp where you change to the gondola that will take you down to a terminal that is about 300' from the Lauterbrunnen train station. From there it's a train the remainder of the way. Although it sounds complex, it is actually quite easy. It's just the length of time that is a bit burdensome. I see a fare on the Swiss website www.sbb.ch of 138CHF (Swiss Francs). I'm not aware of any bus runs between that area of Switzerland and Venice.
