departing oct1,2013 schedule states construction work on that line. but also lists substitute station what does all this mean to me? still confused please help asap.

Hi, That announcement on Donauwörth does not apply to you. Look at the map. You aren't going that far anyway. Hamburg to Leipzig on the ICE is a nice ride. I've done both legs, Hamburg Hbf to Berlin Hbf, Berlin-Leipzig Hbf. Leipzig Hbf is a very interesting station to check out, it's huge.

Looks like the construction is at Donauwoerth station. You will have already gotten off at Leipzig. It only effects the trains continuing on to Munich.
