Train from Beaune vs Dijon France to Paris

We are staying 12k south of Beaune and need to drop our rental car before taking the train to Paris. We want to take the high speed train leaving no latter than 11AM to Paris. Is the train from Beaune a direct with no changes and how long would it take to drive to Dijon to cath the train there. Thank you

The train from Beaune goes straight to Dijon. It's about 20-30 minutes. The TGV to Paris leaves from the same station. I'd guess the drive time is comparable, though I haven't done that.

Driving from Beaune to Paris takes about two and a half hours to the southern edge of the peripherique. Add what you need after thant - - maybe thirty minutes.

There's a direct train at 0622 and another at 1322, otherwise its via Dijon. How long to Dijon? Not long. How fast do you drive?

The drive from Beaune to Dijon is going to be highly dependent on time of day. There's a major construction project going on (I believe it's to add a light rail/tram system) and the commute can take much longer than viamichelin says it will. We got caught in horrible weekday rushhour traffic and it took almost an hour. But it's really a pretty drive between the two!

You're right Dina we're going to have a tramway next year but right now it is difficult to drive around Dijon. The main road (rue Jean Jaures) going south and Place du 1er Mai are awfully busy. It is not bad in the centre, most works seem to be done by now. Axes going out of Dijon to the North (avenue du Drapeau) bvd Clemenceau, av Raymond Poincaré are to be avoided except on week ends. (for those who are going soon) Here is a map with the works (travaux in French) http://www.letram-dijon.fr/fr/cartographie?defaultlayer=89,140,139,138,130,133,132,131
Mary, the train will take you to Dijon station in 20min, I would not bother driving if you don't want to miss your train. Bon voyage!
