Train from Amsterdam Aiport to Paris Nord

I read there is a 3hr 4min express train from the airport in Amsterdam to Paris Nord station. Does anyone know how often this runs? Wife and I are landing at the airport in Amsterdam at 8:30am and plan to take the train to Paris from there, and I want to take the direct 3hr express to Paris Nord. The Thalys website still seems to say the train is more than 4 hours and requires a transfer. I figure I'll just buy our tickets when we get to the station at the airport and find out what is what, but wanted to know ahead of time if anyone here has taken this train and does it in fact exist? Apparently it is rather new. Thanks!

Using the Die Bahn site...it shows a direct Thalys (no changes) train that departs A'Dam Schiphol at 9:31 am and arrives Paris Nord at 12:35 pm. If that is is too close to your arrival time....there is another one that departs Schiphol at 11:31 and arrives at Paris Nord at 14:35 pm. I use the Die Bahn site to check on trains in many European countries. http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en

The Thalys high-speed train has direct trains from Schipol Airport to Paris Nord. When I go to the Thalys.com site, it tells me there are trains every hour, and travel time is 3 hours 4 minutes. Unfortunately Thalys uses airline style pricing, so purchasing your tickets the day of your journey will be very expensive...probably around 130 euros. Whereas if you purchase tickets 90 days in advance, you can get restricted fares for as little as 30 euros. But the downside is that you are locked into a specific departure. So if your plane lands late and you miss the train your tickets will be worthless, so factor that in when deciding which departure to take. Don't use the Bahn site, rather check schedules and purchase tickets at http://www.thalys.com.

Thanks for your replies. We may have to wait to purchase our tickets as the plane could be late. And the Thalys site won't let me search past June for schedules. And any idea if Comfort 1 is worth the extra charge? Seems like you get a complimentary meal and free wifi.
