My friend and I are going to Barcelona in Oct 2007 we are interested in hearing from anyone regarding city tours. The good ones and the bad ones, the price and what all you got to see for your money. Did you enjoy it and would you go again?? Thanks Peggy
We were in Barcelona for 3 days so we opted for the hop off/hop on bus tour. It took us to ALL the touristy places we wanted to go, and took our own leisurly time. You can get the tickets at the end of Las Ramblas, near the Hard Rock Cafe. Its the tourist center.
There's multiple routes, so one day take the Red line, then the next day take the Blue line, and during peak season there's a green line.
Peggy, I agree with Michelle. The hop-on/hop-off bus system in Barcelona is wonderful, and I think the best combination of tour and relaxing sight seeing.
I agree that the Hop On and Hop Off Bus is the best alternative. I would suggest first going all around without hopping off so that once you haver a birds eye view of all, you can decide where to hop off.
I strongly recommend visit the Sagrada Familia and WALKING up the stairs to the top of the pilars. It is a great view and an even better experience! If you take the elevator, you will miss half the experience!
