Tours France

My daughter will be studying at the Institut de Touraine in
Tours this summer. Does anyone know of a laundry "wash and fold" service nearby? She won't have any time to do laundry. Also, any other tips for a good hotel for when I visit her would be appreciated. Any general suggestions for Tours would be helpful. Thanks

Thanks Kira. She's really looking forward to it. It's affiliated with the University of Toronto French program. You're right. The Institute's site is very helpful.
Cheers from Canada.

Marni, no doubt someone at the Institut can advise your daughter about laundry services, surely the least of her worries as she prepares for her adventure.

Hello there, Marni. I studied at the Institut de Touraine in 2007. Is she staying with a host family or elsewhere? If she's staying with a host family, they are required in their fee to do your laundry once a week (or give you access). If she's living solo, there are plenty of places to go. If you have any questions for me about me experience, please ask. It was one of the best experiences of my life. It was the first time I fell in love with France and Europe.

Thanks Alexander. She is staying in an apartment about 20 minutes from the Institut. I know that they will have laundry there, but, knowing my daughter, being able to drop it off and pick it up will be much better. My son is in the medical profession and has no time to do laundry and this process works well for him. I just wondered if they would have "wash and fold" services over there, like we do here. Yes, France is wonderful. We are going at the end of July to see her and then go to the south of France where we have rented a house in Arles.
Best regards.
