Does anyone recall where the tourist office is located near the zoo bahnhof and the BreiTscheid plata in Berlin? It has been a while and if I recall correctly it is due east. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
It used to be right across the street from the Zoo Bahnhof in the Europa Building, but that was many years ago when Zoo station was the "main" way in and out of Berlin.
I believe that it is right in the station by the grocery store. i had found a map of the station for my daughter last year as she was meeting friends at the tourist office but I can't seem to find the site again.
Thank you for the replies. I was there in 2001 and I remember the church and a restaurant across the street named Joe's. I will be there in two days and am going to make that area a home base. If anyone would like to grab a beer and a meal, please let me know. Na dann bis spatter. Tschus! Aaron
Aaron, What type of information are you looking for? According to the Guidebook, "With any luck you won't have to use Berlin's TIs - they're for-profit agencies working for the city's big hotels, which colors the information they provide." The closest to Bahnhof Zoo is probably the TI "info store" at Ku'damm 21. I was there last year, but can't remember if there's also an office inside BHf Zoo (but I wasn't really looking for one). If you're interested in local walking tours, The Original Berlin Walks meet in front of the McDonald's directly opposite BHf Zoo and I would HIGHLY recommend them. If you need rail information, I believe there's a rail office inside BHf Zoo. If you'll be transiting through the Hauptbahnhof, there's a Euraide office there which will be able to provide all the info you need. Which area of Berlin will you be staying? Happy travels!
Hi, If you're looking for the tourist office located between Bahnhof Zoo and Breitscheid Platz, that must be the one on Budapesterstrasse. It was a red building. Another Tourist Information (office) is located right on the eastern side of the Brandenburg Gate at Pariser Platz, the same side as the Hotel Adlon.
Thank you for the replies everyone! I have a lot of great info thanks to you all. Keep on traveling!
