Does anyone have any ideas on where to stay in San Sebastian and what to see? We are traveling to Madrid and Barcelona and thought we would add San Sebastian into our itinerary too if possible. Thanks!
We loved San Sebastian June 2011 but I would only go if it's in summer, which is very short there. We took the Renfe first class from Madrid and got great discounted prices plus they have a nice waiting room at the rail station with snacks and very nice service on board (it's a 5 hour trip though). We enjoyed Pension Amaiur but it is a bed and breakfast in the busy part of town at 60 euros a night. We enjoyed the beach and swimming out to the rafts, tapas, climbing up to the top of the mountain for the views, gelato and the pleasant ambiance.
