I will be in Paris for the last stage of the Tour de France and am looking forward to watching the finish of this incredible event. Anyone have any suggestions as to the best location to view the end of the tour?
My husband & I are cycling fans and we did this last year! We heard the crowds arrive early in the morning to reserve a spot on the Champs Elysees and we weren't willing to devote that much time to it. We arrived a couple of hours before the race was supposed to end and stood in the Tuileries Garden just off the rue de Rivoli. The riders come out of a tunnel there and slow down to take a turn in the road. We stood on the side of the tunnel & looked down on the cyclists as they passed. This was a good way to see our favorite riders. The teams will also do a slow loop up one side and down the other on the Champs Elysees after the race ends. Good luck!
