Tour buses in Paris, what is best?

They have different tour routes. The red has only one. The Green has three. Check the tour maps online and choose the one that covers where you want to go.

L'Open Tour is the better in my opinion. I have been on both.

Actually the L"Open tour buses have four routes, not three . The two day pass is a good deal ,, since there are more routes you need the two days to do them all , if you get on and off at some of the sites anyways.

The "Green Route" is the best one,, its a hoot to ride around the traffic circling the Arc De Triomphe! Be sure to go on a nice day,, do not buy tickets ahead, no need, buy as you board.

I've been on the L'Open Tour bus for 2 trips. I agree that the green line of that bus hits the most famous sights. It is very helpful to check out the different locations and then return later or the next day if you wish (if you buy the 2day pass, which I recommend).

Sitting on top of the bus, in the open air of Paris, with or without the earphones to hear the recorded tour---there's nothing like it!

PS You can buy your ticket on the bus, even if you are using a credit card!
