This is an intelligent plan that shows much thought. Have a blast.

Wow Shira! We are pretty aggressive travellers and just looking at this is tiring me out :)! You will be exhausted when you arrive from PR. The time difference and sleeping on the plane (difficult at best) is enough to make anyone a bit cranky :)! Not sure how long you plan to spend in each museum but keep in mind, even the smaller ones are big. Traveling between attractions takes time and if you are not familiar with subways can be overwhelming, especially if you don't speak the language. Taxis are certainly an option but get a little prciey depending on how far you are going. Plan in a little down time :). Maybe hit the beach in Barcelona for a little relaxation.
Enjoy!

I'm with Michelle - this looks exhausting, starting with the first day. Remember, you will have just gotten off of a long flight, then you have to get out of the airport, to the train, wait for the train, travel, then check into your hotel. I like to keep moving on a trip, too, but I'm not sure I would have the energy to then tour two places before dinner (and there would be no "night out"). In Madrid, the Prado can take all day if you want to see everything. Retiro Park can take as much or as little time as you want, but it is enormous. Puerta del Alcala is just a drive-by - not sure what you are expecting there. Also, if you are going to the Reina Sofia on a free day, it will most likely be jammed with people, so there could be a wait to get in. You need to just keep in mind that you can't instantly get from place to place and get right in and out. There will be travel time, waiting time, and just general organizational time (packing/unpacking, getting a phone card, buying tickets) that will eat into your days, too.

I agree with all previous posts - overall, great job, I think you've done well in the overall plan. However, I also agree with those that suggest you may be trying to schedule in too much each day. The first day will be grueling, coming off your long flight then making your way to Toledo. When you finally hit your pillow there, expect to crash and burn - you will probably not be getting up early the next morning. The next night - which is really the evening of your first real full day in Europe - you're going to be dragging on your Madrid tapas crawl. Looking over your day plans, I think you may have 1 too many items squeezed in on many days - you might want to prioritize the things you have on your agenda each day, keeping in mind that you may (probably won't) get to the last item on your day's list. I would resist the temptation to squeeze in a day trip from Barcelona - you're already stretched very thin. I know myself (I tend to over schedule, too) and I can power through for a while running on sheer will and travel adrenaline, but eventually it will catch up with me - if I don't give myself a chance to rest and recover from the initial jetlag and long days, I'll get sick. Be careful not to push yourself too far.

Do you mean the Alcazar in Seville (what people usually refer to by that name) vs the sites in Toledo? Anyway, Toledo is amazing and I think you'll really enjoy it; I spent week there and it was great. (I particularly love el Greco) One other comment, June 2 in Paris seems beyond ambitious. Those sites are pretty widely scattered (although there's obviously the subway to get around). The Orsay (and the Louvre) are such amazing collections, you might want to ensure you have enough time for them. And the Louvre is huge. I've spent at least 6 full days there over a couple of trips and I still could use more time.

Thanks all for all your help...first time doing this so kind of lost...now I know I am not that lost and I got to take some stuff out... 1. No day trip from Barcelona 2.Toledo- take stuff out..especially the first day. I put the "night out"because everyone says is the best time to see Toledo...but I wasnt refering as staying late out..jusst depend on how we feel.
3. June 2 - take out some stuff or put it in another day..maybe take out Versalles and divide that day... I dont know how much Versalles can take of a day... Thanks again for all your help...any other tips are super welcome.

Hi Shira, Make sure you take advantage of the "passes," usually for the museums. They will get you to the front of the lines and save you money. Based on your itenerary, you could probably benefit from them in Paris, Madrid and Barcelona but ck what they include to make sure if your itenerary changes. You can buy them while you're there so you have the option of not buying them if you change your mind. Versaille is really big. You should figure on it taking at least a half a day and also the travel to get to/from. You should also factor in just how many cathedrals, museums you REALLY want to see. They each have their uniqueness, no question, but some are more spectacular than others. I would hate for you to be "burned" out by the time you got to Paris, as, in my opinion (MINE only ;), there is nothing quite like the Louvre, Orsay and Versaille (for a castle). Same is true for Gaudi and his architecture- truly one of a kind. Picasso also very different if you're looking for something non traditional as well as
Reina Sofia which also has some Picasso's in it.

While I think you will make adjustments for each day, I think this is a very solid itinerary. My only recommendation would be to chop a day from Barcelona and add it to Paris. I love Barcelona, but if you haven't been to Paris, I think you'll want the time there. You can see the Gothic Quarter/Picasso in the afternoon of the 27th when you arrive. The 28th is almost a wasted day as you have it. I think you've spread the museums out to avoid fatigue. Churches can get boring for some people, but you can spend as much or as little time in each as you like. Versailles is at least a half day, I recommend getting there early to avoid the worst of the crowds in the palace, then spend as much time in the gardens as you wish. Maybe have a picnic lunch along the canal, and spend the mid-afternoon back in Paris.
