How long should I stay in Toledo. I my initial plan is to stay for two days.

Rick in his "3 week whirlwind tour of Spain" gives Toledo 2 nights, but he also lists it with Madrid as the two places to go if you had only 5 days.

Two days would give you lots of time to see Toledo. It is also "doable" as a day trip from Madrid. Both the train and bus are good options (bus takes about an hour each way but is cheaper than the train).

I think it's a day trip... We were there for a day from Madrid and came in around 10 and were getting antsy for our 6pm return train....

We did Toledo as a day trip as well from Madrid, though I wouldn't have minded an overnight stay in hindsight. Really depends on where you are going to or from to get there.
