Tix for Eiffel Tower reserve ahead in Paris

We're not sure which day we'll be going to the Eiffel Tower so rather than reserve online, is it possible to get reserve tix when we arrive in Paris and put together our schedule? trip is July 9 - July 15 excluding travel days.

Barbara, at this point you are not going to be able to get those reserved tickets, they sell out fast.. No, the only reserved tickets are available online and for a specific time slot. You now have only a few choices to avoid a long line( as in hours) 1)Purchase a tour that includes a visit to the Eiffel Tower, this will cost the most. 2) Arrive at least 30-45 minutes before it opens in the morning and get in line. 3) Take the stairs up , line for them is never longer then 15-20 minutes. You can take the stairs to the second level, then get in a separate line for tickets to the summit ( if you so choose, I would not bother) .. the line for the top from the second level is not as long as most people who purchased their elevator tickets at the base already included the summit portion in their purchase.. It will still be at least another 15-20 minute usually , although as I said, I hardly would bother myself unless you are absolutely determined to get to the top. The view from the second level is amazing enough.

thanks for reply - you're right - reserve tix for ET are all sold out. guess we'll take our chances and try to go early to beat the queues, or walk up to 2eme etage. Don't plan to go to summit, advised it's not worth it by others, too.

Also FYI, it was closed this past week due to a strike. You should make sure it's open the morning you plan to head over so you can plan accordingly.

We were there last week and I bought my reserved tickets the day they became available, I think 60 days in advance and we had the prime sunset slot (9:30pm). I was so dissappointed that while we were waiting in the reserved line to get on the elevator there were people walking up buying tickets on the spot and making it on to the elevators before us. Our tickets had bar codes on them and the walk ups did not. So all of us with tickets had to wait in the line with the bar code reader while the walk ups just walked on. So my frustration could be your opportunity. I would suggest go late at night and take your chances.
