I'm from USA. Coming back to states through Zurich airport. How much time should I allow to come through Customs and security?

No customs. Just immigration control and standard security. The two times we were through there it was pretty quick. Less than an hour from check in to gate. The Swiss are pretty efficient.

Jim, As with most things in Switzerland, everything is very logically arranged at Zürich airport. However a few points to mention..... > The check-in desks for Swiss Air are close to the entrance from the rail station. If you're not flying with them, allow at least 20 minutes (or maybe a bit more) to find your airline and get through security. As I recall, a bit of walking was required to get to my KLM flight. > The airport is also a RailCity so it's like a shopping mall and quite large. > Security is about the same as other airports, although you may not have to take your shoes off (I can't remember?). > With true Swiss efficiency, when you exit the security check, you'll be in a duty free shop. Nothing like dropping a few more Francs on your way out of town! Cheers!
