We will arrive in Madrid by air on May 10 and are leaving directly by train to Sevilla. I would like to know how much time to allow to go through customs and to then get to the train station. Also if anyone can suggest the best mode of transport to get there....taxi, bus, metro. Thanks alot.

The metro station is right in the Madrid airport--about an 8 minute walk from the terminal. The directional signs are easy to follow and there is an information desk at the entrance. I would check online for a metro map so that you can plan your route to the from the airport station to the Atocha station. It's hard to say how long it might take to get through customs...
