I aslo have been getting error messages at times as soon as I log on to web site. Getting very frustrated, i wll be going to barcelona on april 6th and would like to have tickets in advance. Please help any info would be appreciated. thank you (charlotte nc)
Hi Helen, If the official SagradaFamilia.cat site is not allowing you to purchase tickets for whatever reason, you can try TicketMaster. Also, feel free to post the message you got from them in Spanish/Catalan and I'll be happy to translate it for you. Hope that helps! :) Cheers!
Aleksandra
thanks for the info and I will try again and if I need translation will let you know/ helen
Helen, I would try a different credit card. I am leaving for Spain next week and have been purchasing several advance tickets. My Capitol One card has only occasionally worked but my Southwest Visa card has worked every time (small transaction fee but easier on the nerves:) - hope this helps. Pam
I have tried my visa and my husbands amex and we keep getting message credit card denied. Also het message that when we fill in one of our names in the name field that it requires our surname, do not know what that is about. I have put in my first name and last name, I have tried it with Mrs first, also put last name first then first name, it keeps coming up with error stating it needs surname, I know that spanish names sometimes have two surnames, but i don not. We are at a loss as to how to buy these tickets. We might just wait till we get to madrid and maybe have the hotel staff help us with it before we get to barcelona. helen
When you get to the ticketmaster.es site, switch it to English. After you go through entering the date and time band, the details page will pop up. this asks for name, middle name, "last name", email, and mobile phone. It should not reject entries in those fields. Then enter credit card details. Did you call your bank to inform them you would be making a foreign purchase, specifically Spain? If not, that may be the reason for rejection.
Lola, thanks for the info, no I did not notify my cc company, but will do so and see if thats the problem.. thanks
You might also "clear cookies" from your computer before trying again (after calling your CC company). Or use a different computer.
thanks everyone for info , I finally got thru site and purchased tickets for sagrada familia.
