Three person rooms in Paris

My sisters and I are traveling to Paris in the Fall and would like a room with three comfortable beds....twins are fine, but no
roll-aways or small beds. Rest is vital for us as we are all retired and often just simply "tired". Can anyone help with information? We love the Rue Cler area.

Well hotels have triple rooms with three beds, but you will have to check with each individual hotel as for bed make up. Some do have a double bed and a single, and some have two singles pushed together and an extra single. So its a case by case basis. Have you contacted some hotels through their websites and asked? RS recommends several hotels people seem to like in the Rue Cler neighborhood( I have never stayed in the area so can't offer any personal recommendations).

Have you thought about an apartment? You might have more luck that way. My mother, her sister, and my (middle-aged) cousin rented an apartment when they were in Paris a couple of years ago, and reported it was ideal for the "sightly older" crowd. Our favorite hotel (l'Hotel Hameau, 48 rue de Passy) offers both triples and quadruples - and I believe they feature "real" twin beds, not roll-aways. It is also VERY VERY quiet, which helps with getting rest. There is no street noise, because it is off the street, set back on a small courtyard. Pat makes an excellent suggestion - contact hotels individually and ask. It's the best way - and as we all know, pictures on a website can be a tad misleading, to say the least.

The Castex Hotel in Paris has triple rooms. You might want to check the reviews on tripadvisor.com. The Castex is in Marais.

This is another vote for an apartment. By American standards, European hotels are small. An apartment will give you more room and keep everyone's nerves from getting a bit frayed. If you are simply tired, an apartment is so nice to "come home to". You can sit in a living area, have a glass of wine and relax. It is particularly nice in the morning - everyone can drink coffee and have a small breakfast while getting ready. Stop at the fun little shops the evening before to pick up a quiche, croissant, etc for breakfast. We used cobblestoneparis.com to find an apartment. Others on this site frequently recommend vacationinparis.com. The apartment we rented was no more expensive than a hotel. Have fun in Paris!

I also prefer apartments for the reasons already given. I use vrbo.com and homeaway.com to find apartments. You will find apartments are much better for relaxing than a small hotel room.

Mitzi, my favorite hotel in the 7th is the Londres Eiffel (www.hotel-paris-londres-eiffel.com). It is in a very nice area just steps away from the Eiffel Tower. There are a number of restaurants, cafes, bakeries, pharmacies, and a laundromat nearby. It is a few blocks from Rue Cler. The staff is very accommodating and speaks English. They have triple rooms but you'd need to check availability. Sounds like a fun trip. Hope you have a great time in Paris!
