Does anyone have suggestions for thermes/spas (besides Baden Baden) located within the area of Freiburg, Stuttgart, Strasbourg? We will be traveling next summer with friends in the Alsace but would like to include a therme day. We have been to Bad Gastein but were not thinking of traveling that far east. Any suggestions?

Depending on how shy you are, there is the Siebentaler Therme in Bad Herrenalb, the Panorama Therme in Freudensdadt, and the Palais Therme in Bad Wildbad. My favorite is the Palais Therme, which was built in the 1800s by a duke (or count or something) around a Moorish motif.

Go to the municipal Thermen in Freiburg. The Keidel Bad is one of the best in Germany, as far as we are concerned, and we have been to many. Easy parking, or easy bus from Freiburg, cheap(ish), very clean, really great. The water is lovely, it is all modernized. If you have specific questions about it feel free to ask...
