Hi - Do you think it's reasonable to assume I would have no trouble getting one ticket for a show in London (Sunday or Monday) or one ticket for a ballet at the Paris Opera House (Thursday or Friday) on the day of the performance? This would be in early May. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Dori
Be advised that there are almost no performances (London) on Sundays. But, one usually can get tickets for dramas and comedies on the day of the show. But musicals are more popular and tend to sell out in advance. If there is one particular show you really want to see, you should book it in advance via Ticketmaster UK or by calling the theatre directly. You can do research on all the productions currently running by go to this site: www.officiallondontheatre.co.uk Once you arrive in London get the current edition of Time Out London magazine of their recommendations for newer shows.
