We will be without a swiss pass and would like to know the total cost of the entire trip from Lauterbrunnen to the Piz Gloria Restaurant at Schilthorn. We will be spending the night in Muerren but were curious as to the total costs.

The website cited gives fares, but doesn't specify if one way or round trip. As it is unlikely that one would spend more than a couple of hours, I would assume the fares quoted are round trip, but it would be nice to be certain.

The website says "return" next to all the fares, which is the European way of saying "round trip".

When are you going ? Because there is current promotion going on for using the cable car from stechelberg / Gimmelwald / murren to Schilthorn at 40% off without the swiss pass. I think the promotion is going on until may31st. I could be wrong on the date. Lauterbrunnen valley hostel were handing out coupons.

We just did this about two weeks ago...and if my memory serves me correctly, this is what we paid... Lauderbrunnen to Murren - 12CHF (this included the cable car ride to Grutschalp and then the train ride the remainder of the way to Murren). Murren to Schilthorn, we paid 51 CHF because we went up before 9 am (early bird special). Total = 63CHF/pp. If you go after 9 am, I believe the cost is more like 75CHF.

Thank you all...we actually are not traveling until late July so, Mala, I am not sure the discount will apply to us. Jodi, we are really pleased with your information because we will be traveling to Muerren, then overnight there, continuing on to Piz Gloria
early in the mnorming. Actual costs would indicate the use of a half fare card aren't really warranted.
