My plan is to pick up a rental car at the train station in Seville and drive to the equestrian school in Jerez, our final destination that day will be Arcos. Anybody have any experience driving out of Seville and into Jerez?
I've been the opposite direction, but not a train station (which one for you?). It wasn't a problem.
My biggest concern is driving into Jerez. Is it more like driving into Florence (baaad) or Salzburg (good)?
The drive is no prob once out of Seville. Of course it can be alittle congested in/nr Seville train station but nothing like FLorence (one of the worst IMO). I would not be concened. Arcos and Jerez are wonderful , enjoy.
Ditto JS. We just did the drive to the horse show and to Arcos in June. Both should not be missed. Hint, no cameras are allowed at the awesome horse show, but they will let you snap a few pics at the beginning, and quite a few at the end. Don't loose the opportunity!
Both should be no problem and driving out of Seville from the train station is (slightly) easier than into it, in my opinion. Jerez is a medium size town, and driving into it is usually not a problem. A GPS always helps, as well as keeping a lookout (or finding them on the GPS) for the parking stations, identified with a large blue P. If in doubt, we park on the edge of the town/city and walk or taxi it to final destination - reduces stress and taxis are cheap.
Thanks to all for the helpful responses. I thought this is what I would hear and I'm glad it is so.
