Thanks for the Munich advice & How about Geneva?

As the travel planning continues, it seems that we will now have a few days in Geneva.Any suggestions? Looks like there is much to do there. Should we allow 2 or 3 nights? Any recommendations for a nice place to stay?

I think a day and a night in Geneva would be enough. Then move towards the other side of the lake where you can go to Lausanne, which is close by to Chillon, Gruyere, and even reasonable to go to Murten and Avenches. You could do the first two one day, and the latter two the next. Lausanne is also served by the TGV from Paris and I think Lyon. It is on the main east west rail line through Switzerland to go towards Munich as you indicated in an earlier post was your stop on the way to Venice.

Georganne - The above web site might be useful to you. We found we could easily commute to Geneva from Sion, CH where our hotel was much less expensive than some in Geneva. Additionally, Sion is right in the middle of gorgeous alps. It was all very easy with our Eurail passes. Have a great trip! P.
