While in Paris in Sept, I'm planning a day trip to Tours. Will take the TGV train and have 2 questions that I would appreciate help with. 1. What is the name of the TGV station in Tours?
2. What rental car companies are available conveniently to the TGV station? Any help would be appreciated. Dan

There are two. Tours Centre, and a few kilometres before that is Saint-Pierre-des-Corps. There is a Hertz office at St. Pierre-des-Corps (at 2 Place de la Gare) and also an Avis. Not sure about Tours Centre.

The one you will arrive at is St. Pierre des Corps. It's a little out of Tours. I rented a car through Auto Europe (which I highly recommend) and picked it up right outside the station. It's a very easy trip from Paris and extremely easy to pick up your car at the station.
