TGV Train from Figueres to Paris???????

HELP! Can anyone provide an answer to this question???
I keep reading about this mystery tgv train that is a 5 hour trip from Figueres to Paris (and visa versa). I cannot find it anywhere. Each time I search, I am redirected to RailEurope - and that site shows only 9-10 hour trains and overnights on Elipsos. NO TGV to be found. SO - how does one book these ellusive tickets. A prize to the winner~!

I think the 4th item on this page may help, especially the latest news from 29/03 :
http://www.seat61.com/news.htm#.UVdllTxFDbU On tgv-europe I can see fares from 49 Euro for dates before 10 May. If you can't see those 5 hour TGV trips then I would guess you are searching after that date, so you need to keep checking back. Whether Rail Europe would show them anyway is another matter... EDIT: It does, for dates before 10 May.

Becky, first of all, if you are looking at www.tgv-europe.com, remove the USA as your Ticket Collection Country. Use France, Canada, Great Britain or any country other than the USA. ing USA gets you redirected to RailEurope. Secondly, you may have an embedded cookie that does this as well. Next, it is common to transfer from the Spanish trains to the French trains at Figureres-Vilifant. We've done it but not to Paris. Next, I have found the run. Oddly, you can't see it on the French www.tgv-europe.com but you can on the German www.bahn.de. Here's a link to what I see. http://gyazo.com/297b70e64b4a7a734a56bbbbb5af19f2 Interestinlgy, you can see and buy this run from Perpignan in France to Paris. Here's a link to what I see there with nice advance fares. http://gyazo.com/00e9a00ee859930db90d38f76e9cc67a Now we have to resolve how to catch the train departing Figueres-Vilifant at 10:20. I suspect that you may be coming from Barcelona. Is this correct? If yes, I have some more hints.

When you're on tgv-europe.com, for the Ticket Collection County, don't enter USA - some people here enter Antarctica. This way you won't get redirected to RailEurope. Once you purchase your ticket, you can then print it at home.

Now that I've read the great news article in www.seat61.com, I may have entered a date for the new service to see the runs listed above. We'll see.

Becky, thanks for your PM. Just out of idle curiosity, or 'train ticket geekery' as my wife describes it, I compared prices for the 10.20 TGV from Figueres to Paris on April 30th on tgv-europe and on raileurope.com (the American site). I then used today's exchange rate to convert from € to $ and the results were quite interesting. On tgv-europe a second class ticket is €49, or $62.83, while on raileurope.com it's $68, although they say there are only 2 seats remaining at that price. Presumably if I completed the checkout procedure they would add a handling charge on top of the ticket price, but the difference in the base price alone is almost 8%.
