We are taking the TGV from CDG to Reims on a Saturday and returning to Paris on a Saturday. All the car rentals in the station are closed on Saturday. Suggestons? Also, it seems that the "TGV direct" from Paris goes to the train station in the actual city center. All I see is a connection from the Champagne Ardennes station on the Reims. Ideas?
You can either take a TGV from CDG to Marne la Vallee Chessy (Disneyland Paris) where you have to switch trains to a TGV that goes to Reims Champagne-Ardenne, then switch to the local train that goes to Reims central station, OR, take the RER B into Gare du Nord, walk over to Gare de L'Est and take a TGV direct to Reims central station. Just did a quick check and saw at least 4 TGV trains from Paris Est to the Reims city station on a Saturday (only a couple via the C-A station). Also looked at Avis in Reims and they're open Sat from 8am to 12:30. Almost all car rental companies in France are open Saturday mornings in large cities. It sounds strange, but you can often get more detailed information on French train schedules from the German website "bahn.de"
