I am traveling from Avignon to Paris on the TGV, economy in July. We are in #6 coach seats 61-63. Does anyone know how to look up a seating chart or what kind of seats these are (aisle, all across, etc)?
This is from memory. 2nd class is four across , 2x2. Odd numbers on one side of the aisle and even the other. So you would be sitting together with one at the window and one on the aisle.
Thank you Frank. At least it is not 4 across in a row.
The four facing are only at the middle of the car. All others face one way--or the other.
from memory also. there are 2 seats and another 2 facing you, and often a small table in between. the same on the other side of the aisle.
Olivia is right, except that in first class there are single seats on one side of the aisle. They call this "2 + 1" seating.
Thank you all for your input.
You can google TGV seating chart and find out. It looks like you will be in second class and in a 4 seat arrangement with 61 and 63, one on the aisle and the other the window seat. If you purchase your seats now or 90 days in advance of travel, you can get 1st class seats for a better price than 2nd class seats closer to the date of travel. Go with the 1st class seats on a 4 hour trip. We did Paris to Monte Carlo RT last Sept and got the 1st class seats, worth it for sure. You can also pick your seats, sorry.... select your seats on the website so you won't travel facing backwards
Trains are so relaxing and the only way to travel in Europe.
