teachers pass in Paris?

Someone told me today that if you have ID as a teacher/educator anywhere (any country) that you can get free admission to museums in France/Paris. Or teacher union cards. Anyone else ever hear of this?

Yes, wife is a teacher but it is often restricted to EU teachers. She has been successful fewer times than successful.
